Goal setting. Setting achievable goals for your business
Goal Setting for 2020
How is it already 2020?!
I can’t believe how quickly the years keep zooming by. Is this a ‘getting older’ thing I wonder, where the years flash by before our eyes? I’ve only just gotten used to writing 2019 and now it’s 2020!
Every year I feel the same though, ‘where did that year just go?’ It’s a great reminder for me to stop and smell the roses, squeeze my big kids a little tighter before they leave the nest and appreciate all life’s’ blessings.
I encourage you to do the same!
Did you manage to have some nice relaxing family time over Christmas? Are you still on holidays like me?
Are you looking forward to making 2020 your year?
With a new year comes new year resolutions.
But I always find that I set new years resolutions but then never-ending up following through with them.
Are you the same?
If so, let's break it up a bit and do this together.
Goal Setting - 90 Day SMART Goals
Instead of a list of resolutions, let’s set 3 goals you want to achieve in the first 90 days of this year.
3 simple, actionable goals that you can achieve this quarter for your online store.
I’m sure you’ve all heard about SMART goals right?
If you haven’t, SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Timely.
Creating a SMART goal will mean that you’re more likely to stick to it and achieve it than if you set yourself a random goal.
For example, setting a goal to hit $20K in sales is too vague. How exactly are you going to hit that $20K?
You can make it a SMART goal by saying you are going to hit $20K by selling 250 of your $80 products within the next 90 days by using Facebook Ads.
This SMART goal tells us what you want to achieve, how you are going to achieve it and by when.
It sounds much more achievable when you make it more specific, right?
Make sure your goals are SMART and break them down to actionable steps to ensure you are clear on how to achieve them.
To make this super easy for you, I’ve created a worksheet you can print off and complete.
Block an hour of uninterrupted time to complete your goals, grab a cup of coffee or your favourite beverage and sit in a comfortable place. Goal setting should be enjoyable, so set the scene so that it is.
